We aim to ensure older adults have access to local high quality exercise classes that support people, build strength, regain independence and move confidently.
We believe in creating a safe and supportive space for older adults in Cambridgeshire to get active and socialise. Our wide range of classes are tailored to different fitness capabilities based on our ‘Functional Fitness’ measure to ensure that you get the most out of Forever Active.

Functional Fitness
Our Functional Fitness classes that involve a range of exercises to achieve your fitness goals. When you sign up, we use our ‘Functional Fitness‘ assessment tool to find the most suitable exercises classes for you based on your ability levels.

Strength and Balance
Classes include seated strengthening and supported standing balance exercises. Ideal for people with limited mobility or falls prevention.

Preparing for Fitness
Classes include standing and seated strengthening exercises to build confidence and progress to more challenging activities. Ideal for people wanting to become more active.

Retaining your Fitness
Classes include more challenging exercises proven to strengthen muscles and bones. Ideal for people looking to boost stamina and flexibility.

How much are classes?
Your first class is completely free. Subsequent classes are £6.
How do I book my free taster session?
If you are interested in attending a class, fill out our new member sign-up form or call us on 07432 480105. Once you have completed the form we will check class suitability and book your free taster session.
How do I book classes?
What should I wear?
Please wear something comfortable that you can stretch and move around in. We recommend that you wear trainers or closed supportive shoes that fasten with laces or velcro.
Do I need to bring anything to class?
Yes! Please bring along a resistance band and a bottle of water. If you attend a class with floor exercises, please also bring a yoga matt.
Important: if you have any essential medications, such as inhalers, GTN spray, epi-pen etc. remember to bring these with you.
Do I have to attend classes for a set amount of time?
No, you can attend for as long as you like but to get the most out of Forever Active we recommend you attend on a weekly basis. Classes have limited space, so if you no longer wish to attend, let us know and we can give your place to someone else!
What happens if I'm ill or have a doctors appointment?
Please call or email to let us know and we will move your booking to a future date.
